Communicate
In written and oral communication courses, students practice constructing logical and well-reasoned arguments and then presenting either in writing or verbally.
Reason
In quantitative and logical thinking and natural sciences classes, students develop the skills needed to systematically breakdown and solve complex problems.
Analyze
Through courses in history, social sciences, ethics, digital literacy, and arts and culture practices, students learn different ways to form and answer important questions.
Engage
Through natural science labs, scholarship in practice and formative experiences, students explore ideas and theories to determine how well they hold up in the real world. Through this process, students gain a clearer understanding of the value of different concepts they have learned at FSU.
FSU’s goal is not to teach students what to think, but how to think. We create clear-minded problem solvers who understand complex ideas and can articulate them to diverse groups.
